The results will be very interesting to analyze as, when all is said and done, I expect The Godfather and The Godfather Part II to figure very much at the top of the heap. But what comes before, or after them? Because this was such a rich period in American movie history, participants are being asked to name 10-15 films unranked or ranked. Results are set to be posted next Tuesday. Film schools, mainstream media outlets and, even, Wikipedia have cited our past “decade in film” polls. They are an integral part of this site and I will continue to conduct them as long as there is high interest from readers — the goal is to go all the way back to the silent era.
